Sanskrit: Muhuurtam
I recently attended a workshop on Nithya Yoga at the Vedic Temple in Redmond. The guest lecturer that day, Ma Maneesha, taught us the word muhuurtam that she translated as “a time for fulfillment, a time during which you have a deep understanding that you and everything around you are connected.”
Being that this is my first non-test blog entry, and being that 2009 is now in full swing, I think its quite appropriate to kick off the Phyzz blog with some thoughts on this. After all, our mission is one of connection at various levels, but mainly: connecting practicioners — current and potential with an accessible and easy way to practice.
Apparently, there are several online calendars that track various muhurtam, like this one. Although today isn’t on the list, it feels pretty auspicious nonetheless.
